Dr. Shirley Madhere
M.D., P.C.
Dr. Shirley Madhère received a liberal arts education concentrating on English, biology, ballet, and French literature. Having simultaneously cultivated a desire to study medicine, Dr. Madhère dedicated herself to medical school in the combined programs at Dartmouth Medical School and The Brown University School of Medicine. She additionally strengthened her foundation in science by concurrently obtaining a Master’s Degree at The Brown University Graduate School. Thereafter, she completed both a full residency in general surgery, and a second, subsequent residency in plastic surgery. Dr. Madhère’s subspecialty training was undertaken in Cosmetic Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under tutelage of some of New York City’s most renowned plastic surgeons. A New Yorker of multicultural background and with international pursuits, she remained in New York City to begin her private practice.
Dr. Madhère’s medical interests are diverse, and include skin care, general health, and age management. Her practice is aimed also at balancing and integrating these concepts with a focus on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast surgery, body contouring as well as general plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Madhère believes that beauty radiates from within. This unique philosophy, “holistic plastic surgery” as developed by Dr. Madhère, incorporates facets of various types of complementary medicine and the healthy arts to optimize patient wellness and maximize outcomes after plastic surgery.
Dr. Shirley Madhere writes:"In an effort to approach beauty from a more holistic perspective, I firmly believe in the adage 'You are what you eat.' It is consistent then, that healing and wellness emanate from within. Thus, it is important to attain 'healthful beauty' by addressing those factors that help to maintain homeostasis, optimize physiology, and maximize the body’s ability to achieve the best results after any intervention. My practice focuses on 'holistic plastic surgery' in keeping with this paradigm. I believe that better outcomes may be complemented by improved nutrition. Therefore, dietary modification, detoxification, and oral supplementation are typically integrated into a patient’s peri-operative or pre- and post- procedure plan. In addition, I often recommend Glisodin Skin Nutrients as appropriate to a patient’s specific non-operative or surgical protocol."

Dr. Steve Weiner writes: "I’m always skeptical of claims made by new products and devices. So when GliSODin Skin Nutrients claimed that their pre and post treatment formulations would improve my clients recovery, I took it with a grain of salt. I tried GliSODin on my toughest clients - Fraxel re:pair CO2 laser resurfacing procedures. I can honestly say that I have seen hundreds of these clients recover and none have healed as fast or with as good a result as the ones which were using GliSODin pre and post formulations. It is now a standard recommendation for all of my CO2 laser resurfacing clients. I have yet to use GliSODin for my non ablative laser procedures, but that is the next area I’ll be researching."

I started to use supplements such as bromelain and arnica Montana to help my patients have a better post operative recovery. The results of these supplements were inconsistent. Glisodin Pre/Post Phase One and Two has given me a consistent improvement post laser or post surgical recovery. Decreased swelling and bruising after facelifts, rhinoplasty, and endoscopic forehead lifts has made me a true believer of this product. Another great area that I have noticed excellent results is with my acne patients who have failed traditional treatments. Detoxification followed by Daily has helped these patients get their acne under control.
Dr. Nadine Pomarède
Dr. Nadine Pomarède is a leading dermatologist and medical doctor in Paris, France. She is a member of the French Society of Dermatology and a founding member of the French College of Aesthetic Medicine and Reconstructive Dermatology. She has published numerous books on the synergy between aesthetic procedures, skincare products, food, and nutrients.
Dr. Nadine Pomarède writes: "The skin – our protective layer from the environment – has specific nutritional requirements to build and renew itself. Every day, the skin goes through multiple metabolic reactions to protect itself from free radicals and toxins; antioxidants produced within the body and found in certain nutrients can help neutralize free radicals to maintain healthy skin.
When the skin is overexposed to harmful agents such as UV rays and pollution, there is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the capacity for antioxidants to neutralize them. Over time, this deteriorates the structural integrity of the skin.
Protecting your skin means taking a holistic lifestyle approach by choosing high quality foods, non-toxic cosmetics, an active lifestyle, and dietary supplements targeted to meet the needs of your skin. In addition to a healthy lifestyle, supplementation with bioavailable antioxidants will help you achieve your desired goals of optimal health, well-being and beauty."
