A word from Dr. Nadine Pomarède
The skin – our protective layer from the environment – has specific nutritional requirements to build and renew itself. Every day, the skin goes through multiple metabolic reactions to protect itself from free radicals and toxins; antioxidants produced within the body and found in certain nutrients can help neutralize free radicals to maintain healthy skin.
When the skin is overexposed to harmful agents such as UV rays and pollution, there is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the capacity for antioxidants to neutralize them. Over time, this deteriorates the structural integrity of the skin.
Protecting your skin means taking a holistic lifestyle approach by choosing high quality foods, non-toxic cosmetics, an active lifestyle, and dietary supplements targeted to meet the needs of your skin. In addition to a healthy lifestyle, supplementation with bioavailable antioxidants will help you achieve your desired goals of optimal health, well-being and beauty.
